Known as TOP OF THE LINE Steering Box for Street/Hot Rod Applications. Generally used in Straight/Dropped Axle Applications like Model A's, and 1932-1934 Ford's, but can be used anywhere a Vega Cross Steering Application is common. The case is made from a block of 6061 T76 Aluminum (Machined not Casted). Top and side caps are made of denser 7075 T6 material for added strength. Dimensions were designed for a direct replacement of a GM OEM Vega Box. All new bearings, bushings, and races are incorporated for smooth operation. Shafts are OEM Spec. Internal Ratio is the SAME AS OEM VEGA 22 to 1 with 6 inch eye to eye Pitman Arm. Input shaft is 5/8 inch - 36 spline Sector(Output) shaft accepts Vega Pitman Arm. Pitman Nut threads is 3/4 inch - 16. Like all of our Steering Boxes, comes Pre-Adjusted and filled with proper amount of lubricant (GM #1052182 for manual boxes).
