Full-size Dodge Pickups and Ramchargers have a type of steering coupler that can show signs of wear in as little as 4500 miles. This wear, which causes play in the steering, is even more noticeable if your truck is used for plowing, trailer towing, or if you run oversize tires. Until now the only fix was to install another factory replacement, which would wear out just as quickly.
BORGESON's replacement incorporates a needle bearing universal joint, a flanged shaft, and a telescoping shaft. The telescoping shaft is a safety feature not found in the stock unit. The needle bearing universal joint is the heart of this precision assembly. It's an easy bolt in swap, requires no special tools and you will notice vastly improved steering precision as soon as you drive your truck. two year, 30,000 mile warranty
1994-98 Dodge Trucks
The newer full-size Dodge Pickups have a problem similar to the older Dodge trucks -intermediate steering shaft components that can show signs of wear in as little as 4500 miles. Dodge has even recalled some trucks for steering shaft problems, but does not offer any permanent fix.
BORGESON manufactures a bolt-in replacement with all of the features and none of the drawbacks of the stock assembly. Our assembly incorporates a Vibration Reducer/U-joint, a telescoping collapsible shaft and a second needle bearing universal joint. An added feature of the telescoping collapsible shaft is that it will fit trucks with aftermarket body lifts.
Easy to install with common hand tools, the BORGESON steering shaft assembly will give you the improved steering precision you expect from your truck. two year, 30,000 mile warranty
